You Haven't Seen Anything Yet

With all the earthquakes going on around the world, Pastor Goodman had a great message yesterday, You Haven't Seen Anything Yet. Within a few days of each other there were large earthquakes in Argentina and Venezuela that followed the one in Haiti.

Matthew 24: 7 & 8 "And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Revelation 16:18-20 "And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found."

When God begins to shake the world, we will see mountains crumble and islands disappear. The tragedy in Haiti is terrible. But we haven't seen anything yet!

There are four things we must do to get through what is up ahead:
  1. We must be prepared. We must be saved by the grace of God! Make sure you're gonna be caught up and not thrown out. Jesus will come with no warning. Just like an earthquake.
  2. We must be peaceful in our thinking. Phil 4:5 says to let our moderation be known unto all men.
  3. We must be proclaiming the gospel! People being left behind is more than a movie or a book. Jesus is coming and we need to get the word out. There are souls to win in 2010.
  4. We must be persistent in our Christian walk. II Peter 3:14 "Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." Serving God is not an option. This is not a time to retreat from Holy living!! God is serious about Holy living whether we are or not.

There will be some that will read this post and be thankful they know the true and living God. There will be others that will roll their eyes and ignore the warnings that are sounding off around them. I'll end this with the words to a chorus of a song the Dove Brothers sing:

When you change our mind, you're gonna find the love of God and sing about Amazing Grace, You can wait a little while and become a believer when you meet Him face to face, Will you make into Heaven or will you be left behind, Well, I guess it all depends on when you change your mind.
