Before passing judgement on others, the Bible is clear about self examination.
Matthew 7:1-5 "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Before we pass judgement on others, we need to make sure that our own life is void of that same sin. Examine yourself first. Get YOUR problem settled. And then you can help your Brother/Sister in Christ with THEIR problem.
In order to pass a righteous judgement, we must become Spiritually minded.
I Corinthians 2:12-15 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ."
When we study the WORD of God and seek out those things which are Spiritual, we are able to discern between the Spiritual and the unspiritual. I believe this is what is wrong with most Christians today. They are not seeking the Spiritual. They have salvation. They feel secure. So why try to go above that? It's easier to seek the things of the world than the things that are Spiritual. Therefore, they have no discernment in what they do. Yet, they will be held accountable.
