Brother Johnny preached on prayer Wednesday night. It was a powerful message from Ephesians 6:5-18, the text verse being 18, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"
When we pray, we must enter three places:
*A hidden place, Matthew 6:6. That's the place where we're alone with God. Where all is shut out and we are shut in with God.
*A heavenly place. This is where the battles take place during prayer. This is the place where we need to be wearing the armor of God.
*The Holy place. Behind the veil of prayer. This is the place beyond the hidden place and heavenly place, where the battle of the mind has been won and we become hooked in where we are talking to God and God is talking to us.
Some of the quotes he stated tonight were:
*The armor of God doesn't do us any good if we keep it hanging in the closet.
*Satan is not threatened by a soldier sitting down. But by a soldier on his knees in prayer.
*When it comes to prayer, we have to praise our way in.
*The Devil believes in prayer more than we do.
