Camp, Friends, and What's For Supper

(me at a lookout on the Blue Ridge Parkway)

Justin and Hannah will be home from camp tomorrow. I'm excited about seeing my babes. I know they've had a good time. Depending on how things go for Justin next year, this may have been his last year at teen camp. So I hope he had a grand ole time! And Hannah too. I'm sure they did. They both like this camp ok. My biggest hope, though, is that they bring something back that will further their walk with Christ.

Harrison brought his friend Matt home last night from church. They've had a great time playing together. Lots of laughing and playing!!! Matt's sister, Jessie, is at camp. So when I pick Justin and Hannah up, I'll give Matt back. LOL

I started with a headache last night and it has gradually become worse through the day. I think a little Sun Drop with a percogesic or two....or three....will fix me up. At least I hope so. Of course, all joking aside, I'll only take one. I can't very well be on my toes with two nine year olds when I have three percogesics in my system. They don't seem to do anything for Brother Ted....but they knock me out completely! lol

I met with my madre and two of my favorite chicas today for lunch. We had a great time eating Japanese food. We laughed a LOT and shared a few tears together. It was some good girly time!! And to top it all off, I got to see little John O'. He ain't so little though. Like 6'4"...6'5"? Even taller?

Bruce is off doing his normal Thursday happenings and we're having salad for supper. That's easy, right? It's a nice hot day to be eating something cool and light.

YIKES, Kristi! I sure didn't mean to leave my last name on yesterday's comment. I cut and pasted--or something. Oh, well, my name is on my blog. Sigh...

I'm curious. How much does camp cost in your neck of the woods? Christian camp for a week stay costs upwards of $500, here in the Bay Area of CA.

Cathy (w/out the last name this time)

Cathy, I never caught that you signed your last name on a previous comment. I did go back and delete that off for you. Wouldn't want you unprotected!!!!
:)

One week at this Christian Camp was $125 or $110 if you registered early. I think the most expensive in this part is probably the Wilds and their youth camp runs almost $300. As a matter of fact, I think it was $287 this year.

Brother Ted has a high tolerance for pain, thus a higher tolerances for pain killers :) He does however take a Pepcid, 2 Men's Daily vitamins, his BP medicine, and 2 Extra Strength Excedrine (65mg caffeine each) every morning before going to work.. maybe he's just immune to percagesus :)

Well.......I don't know if you're immune, but you definitely can't spell it. ROFL

Yeah, I have to say I was kind of surprised when Bruce was the one that wanted the salad. He's my meat and taters fella. But then he did spend the better part of the afternoon and evening outside in the heat so I guess he wanted something cool. I don't blame him. I sent you an email about the Percs. :)

A Note From Theresa said...

Kristi, it was just Michele's birthday. She turned 50 on the 14th. It was lots of fun.

I hope and pray your headache is gone now and that your doing much butter. I hate when I get headaches, they do tend to ruin a day. (((Hugs)))

Wow, John does sound very tall! Sounds as if he'd be towering a good FOOT or so above me! :O

Girl time is great especially when you need to talk to someone. I love Sun Drop but the other day I bought a Sun Drop in a glass bottle and it didn't taste good. I don't know but I have also bought Sunkist in glass bottles and I don't like them, lol. Better in plastic bottles.
